Overall, it is a complicated process, which requires special machinery. In addition, drinking water is obtained as a side product of this process.
Before the process begins, the Sun warms the upper part of the natural water tank with salted water. Before entering the system, the water is warmed to 29 degrees on the top, in comparison of 5 degrees on the depth of 1 kilometer. Then, using separate pipes on different levels, hot and cold seawater is transported to the evacuated evaporation chamber and the condensing chamber, respectively. In the first chamber, warm water is separated to steam, that moves turbines and creates energy, and salt that is then moved to the condensing chamber, where it is mixed with cold water from outside. The vapour, after moving a turbine, enters the internals of condensing chamber, where the rest of the water lowers its temperature, producing pure water.
