Essay on the topic of oil usage by four major consumers along with future predictions in a line chart.
The given line chart compares and predicts the data related to oil consumption in four major countries: the US, China, Middle-east, and Western Europe, and Japan starting from 2009 until 2030.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that despite a downward trend from a position of highest stagnancy, the US will lead the chart in the upcoming years followed next by China. However, the Middle-east and western Europe and Japan will be following a reverse trend.
According to the given illustration, starting with the maximum 10 million barrels per day in 2009, the US engulfed the market by leveling off until 2015 before observing a sharp plummet that dragged the demand down by 2 million in 2020. Also, it is expected that the demand will continue to dip prior to reaching 4 million by the end of 2030.
On the contrary, China, who started with the lowest 1.8million barrels, rose dramatically to overtake Europe and Japan in 2020 and will double its demand after a decade. Whilst, Middle-east was lower by half as compared to Western Europe and Japan(4 million barrels), the former is expected to take over the latter by nearly 50% by 2030.
