The graph illustrates how the number of requests by the Tourist Information Office changed over the period of 6 month in 2011. Three categories of enquiries are considered - in person, by letter/email and by telephone.
It is observed that starting from just above 400 in January, requests in person steadily grew to approximately 1900 by the end of the period. Similarly, letter/email applications also rose, but saw a fluctuation. Its number stood at about 900 in January and then slightly fell to 800 in one month, however, it then gradually climbed to 1600 by June.
In contrast to other two categories, it is observed that telephone enquiries saw a noticeable decrease. At the beginning of the described period there were just below 800 requests. Following this, the number slowly declined to around 400 in June.
Overall, there is a significant difference between telephone enquiries and other types of applications. As personal and letter/email requests grew in popularity over the period given, telephone ones lost their relevance according to the graph.
