The line chart illustrates the proportion of residents using the internet in the USA, the UK, and Japan between 1999 and 2009.
It is clear that there was a sharp increase in the figure of the internet connectors in three different countries from 1999 to 2009. In particular, the UK reached the highest point of the internet users in 2009 while Japan experienced the lowest figure at the same time.
Looking at the information in more detail, in 1999, around 25% dwellers accessing the Internet in the USA, compare to about 10% in the UK and only 5% in Japan. After two years, America and the UK had an equal percentage of online users, which made up approximately 25%. In 2003, the percentage of the Internet connectors in the UK was roughly 65% which was at least four times as high as that in Japan.
As illustrated, a similar proportion of residents having access to the internet was recorded between two United nations, at 70% in 2005. Furthermore, there was a two fold increase in the figure of internet users between 2004 and 2009 in Japan (25% and 50%). In 2009, the most striking feature is that the figure for the UK's users totally dominated these from the remaining countries (100%, 90%, and 50% respectively)
