give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre
explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community
describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes
Dear Sir,
This is with reference to the notice posted on 5th October to the notice board that sports and leisure center would be closed permanently from the coming month. I am writing this letter to bring to your notice the importance of the sports and leisure center.
The sports and leisure center has plenty of options for people of all ages. It has swimming pool, badminton court, chess board, carrom board, small amphitheater for cultural events and morning yoga and great seating arrangements for ladies of the society to have kitty parties. The kids of my family use the center to learn swimming and badminton and my mother and aunt daily use it for morning yoga. I, personally use, the center with my friends to play chess.
In my opinion, the center is very important part of the society. It provides everyone a break from their daily task. It also provides great recreational activities. The center provides a platform for everyone to come together as one and interact with each other and be part of each other lives. The sports facility of the center helps health conscious people stay fit without going to artificial gyms. It also provides a channel for young kids to exhaust their energy by being active in sports than sitting in front of the television.
I honestly feel that if the center is closed then it would only have negative impact on the local people. As the days are going by, we are moving more towards digital life and losing touch with nature and physical activity. It would eventually create a lot of mental and physical health problems. I hope that considering the points I have provided, the council will try to find a way to save the sports and leisure center.
Yours faithfully,
Molly Bakers
