The charts below show the main reasons for the study among students of different age-groups and the amount of support they received from employers.
The given charts detail the percentage of students across different age-groups who pursued their studies for two main reasons: career, and interest, along with a report stating the proportion of those who had employer's support for the same.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the majority of youngsters(below 26 years) studied mainly for a career along with maximum fees support, however, over time, this trend reversed in the favor of interest and age.
According to the given illustration, 80% to 60% of the students between the ages of 26 and 39 years opted to study mostly for a career as compared to the interest that ranged between 10% to 20% only. Further, at the age-group of 40-49, the percentage for career reached on par with the percentage for interest after which the interest slab surpassed the other attribute at 49 and above.
Turning to the employer's support, whilst nearly 3 in every 5 students(under 26) had the necessary support, the same fell steadily to half by the age of 39 before climbing significantly close to two-fifth at 49 and above. Hence, the youngest group received the maximum support for the career-based study.
