During a recent plane journey, you sat next to a businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants.
Write a letter to this businessman.
In your letter,
remind him when and where you met
tell him what kind of job you are interested in
say why you think you would be suitable for the job
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear ..................,
Dear Sir,
I am Mr Shreyas Parab, was sitting adjacent to you while flying back to Mumbai from Raipur on 20th October 2020. As you said, you own a chain of Barbeque restaurant, which is quite famous all across Mumbai for its special discount, interior and events. Also, you are looking for the manager for one of your restaurant at Dahisar, I would like to be one of the applicant for the same vacant position.
I am looking for a challenging environment to work at. I have noticed many a times the restaurant at Dahisar becomes so chaotic on weekends, that it becomes difficult to manage customers as well the staff to fulfil their orders. Even more, if there is an event scheduled, the crowd can be difficult to handle; which intrigues me more to face the situation and leave a customer on a happy note. And also as this place is close to my apartment, working late night will not be problematic to me.
I have completed my Hotel Management course from Viva Institute of Hotel Management in Mumbai. I have 8 years of experience in the hotel industry. Currently, I am working as an Assistant Manager at the Taj Hotel for 4 years, working calmly and patiently is what my boss admires me about. Moreover, I was prized for the best performance at the Taj Hotel for three consecutive years.
You can reach me at parabsh@gmail.com and I am also attaching the copy of letters of recommendation for your reference. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Yours faithfully,
Shreyas Parab
