The supplied bar chart compares the amount of time spent by juveniles in seven different activities during the period 2002 to 2007 in Chester. Units are measured in hours per week.
A glance at the graph reveals that in all six years, children spent maximum hours watching television while minimum time was given to bowling. In addition, watching television was more than twice most liked activity than the rest for the given time period.
Now turning to details, teenagers watched television for 25 hours a week in both 2002 and 2003 then increasing to more than 35 hours in 2007. Till 2006, watching DVDs was more popular than going to pubs/discos as about 18 hours in a week were dedicated to DVDs, thus making it second in the list in 2004 which was replaced by pubs and discos in 2007.
Interestingly, the number of hours/week for which youngsters did homework and sports declined from 2002(about 12 and 10 hours respectively) to 2007(approximately 7 and 2 hours respectively), whereas for shopping it was vice-versa. Bowling being the least liked activity was given merely less than 5 hours in 2002 and only about 1 hour in 2007.
