The illustration provides the process of electricity production from the hydropower engines. The process starts from reserving the river water and ends with transmitting the electricity through the power lines to national grids.
As observed from the diagram, the process broadly includes two procedures: daytime and night time, equipped with the dam and power generator. For the day stage, river water stored in a high-level reservoir is channeled through the opening of the dam. It leads to the electric generator that locates at a much lower place in order to transform electricity. Just as the water reaches the generator, the turbines of the power station operate the generator and later transfer the electricity into the Power lines that later goes to the National grid.
As for the night states, water from the low-level reservoir is pumped up by the turbines, causing it to flow into the high-level reservoir which is closed at night. At the daytime, the dam again opens and the system evolves in the same manner.
