The bar chart illustrates total spending for schools in Singpore. While the pie chart shows the percentages of number of education diplomas and degrees students gained over 12 years period from 2000.
Overall, the amount of money spended on boy schools rose steadily over the years. In addition, the proportion of students who gained diplomas was significantly higher than that of those who gained degrees in both 2000 and 2012.
According to the bar chart, the money for boy schools stood at 9 million. This figure increased gradually to 20 million and 26 million in 2004 and 2008, respectively. In 2012, spending reached a peak of 32 million. However, the expenditure of girl schools witnessed a slight increase. The number began at 7 million in 2000, rose slightly to about 13 million in 2004, remained stable in the following year and peaked at 20 million in 2012.
The proportion of higher education students who gained diplomas experienced a moderate decrease from 2000 to 2012. The percentage declined from roughly 73% to 68% in 2000 and 2012, respectively. The opposite was witnessed in the rate of those who graduated with degrees, from 27% in 2000 to 32% in 2012.
