You received your monthly gas bill and realized that you were overcharged for the last quarter. Upon further examination of the information on the gas bill, you realized that the gate of your house was not left unlocked for access to be granted for the meter reading to be checked.
Write a letter to your utilities board. Explain mentioned points.
•Describe the meter reading you saw on your bill and why you feel you were overcharged
•Explain why this information is wrong.
•Say what you would you like the utilities board to do.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction regarding the meter reading, which I saw on my gas bill of last month. My name is Riddham Patel and my customer identification number is CX15237.
On 15th October, I have received a monthly bill and I checked the bill. As per my perusal, your comany has been charging overly from me, even if I have not been using gas since last three months because I was out of town for work in this period.
After in-depth investigation, I came to know that the overly charged money is due to inability of your reading-collector to access the meter as the gate of my home was locked. The same reason of the penalty has also been mentioned on the received last month's bill and previous two bills.
In this case, I would like to draw your attention to my previously communicated letter, in which I had clearly mentioned that, since I would not be there at home, my house would have been locked and the meter reading would not be possible. I had also mentioned to charge me combinely for three months after I return to the home and the meter reading is taken by your person. I have attached the copy of the letter. I would like you to revoke the penalty levied on the last three bills by your company. Otherwise, I am having all rights to raise my concerns to legal authorities.
Waiting your positive response.
Yours Faithfully,
Riddham Patel.
