The line graph illustrates the number of visitors visiting a particular Caribbean island from 2010 to 2017.
Overall, it can be seen that the highest number of tourists went to that particular island to spend their leisure in 2017. It is also evident that the number of visitors staying on the island dominated the number of tourists who preferred to stay on cruise ships till 2015, but then the latter took the driving seat.
In detail, approximately 800 thousand and 300 thousand tourists stayed on a cruise ship in 2010. While the numbers remain unchanged for island stayers in 2011, there was a moderate increase in the number of cruise ship stayers at 500, 000. After a slight fell from 2011 to 2012, however, the number of tourists, who preferred to stay on a cruise ship, increased considerably from 2012 to 2017 precisely at 2 million visitors.
On the other hand, there was a moderate rise in 2012 for the number of visitors who wanted to stay on the island rather than stay on a cruise ship by approximately 1 million visitors. After a slight escalation in the following year, the number of tourists who love to stay on the island remained stable till 2015 at 1.5 million visitors. Even after a minimal decline in the very next year, the tourist number leveled off at 1.5 million visitors in 2017.
