The bar chart below shows the US' top ten processed food export markets.

The chart compares the expenditure on consumer goods between the two countries the UK and France in the year 2010. It mainly focuses on the 5 consumer goods namely, cars, computers, books, perfume, cameras. Both the countries lie almost in the same ballpark in cars computers and perfume while a much higher difference is seen books and cameras.
With respect to cars, the UK spends nearly 450,000 pounds sterling while France spends a much higher 400,000 pounds sterling. These are the highest consumer goods bought in both countries. France's expenditure is less than the UK in two other areas: Books and Cameras. In books, the expenditure by the UK stands at 400,000 pounds sterling while France's stands at just near 300,000 pounds sterling. The expenditure on cameras is interesting to observe as the difference in this area is the highest than others. While the UK spent nearly 350,000 pounds sterling, France spent only 150,000 pounds sterling, the least of any goods in the whole survey. It is less than half of what was spent in the UK.
Coming to the areas where France has an upper hand, money spent on computers in France was around 375,000 pounds sterling as opposed to 350,000 pounds sterling in the UK. The difference is by a very narrow margin. perfume is the other area where France stands at 200,000 pounds sterling while the UK stands at just below 150,000 pounds sterling. The difference is more than 50,000 pounds sterling.
