The reading and listening are about creating of a new kind of Broccoli in the East Coast having a summer climate. The author presented some of the benefits of this project but the professor seems disagree by suggesting some issues with the new Broccoli.
Firstly, the author suggested that new Broccoli in East Coast can save transportation's time and money as well. Also, it can reduce Broccoli's price. The lecturer rebuts this argument by saying that due to lower yield, average outcome for per hectare is quietly less in the summer case which can cancel the saving of transportation money.
Secondly, the author notes that due to the old breeding techniques, consumers will have fate in new Broccoli which is slightly different from genetic modification crop produced. But the professor claims that people are still distrusted because of same manufacturing company people still not believe the products.
Finally, the author posits that a person can get full nutrients if they intake the broccoli right after the harvesting because it contain lots of nutrients and vitamins as compare to old one. The professor opposes this by claiming that instead of wasting money and resources on new crop, people should be aware that intaking of different crop with same benefits and easily availability can replace the idea of production of new Broccoli. The professor support own idea by giving the example of Cail crop which contain more nutrients then Broccoli and easily available on East Coast.
