You have just received a credit card statement from your bank. The statement lists a number of expensive purchases that you are sure you did not make. Write a letter to the bank manager. In the letter: • Introduce yourself. • Explain that you did not buy the items listed. • Say what you would like the bank to do to fix the problem. You do not need to write any addresses. Begin your letter as follows: Dear Sir or Madam, You should write at least 150 words.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Noah K. - a premium member of your credit card customer club. I am writing this letter to draw your attention towards wrong entries in the statement that was mailed last week. The card number is 4728 1234 1106 191.
While I was going through the statement, something that grabbed my full attention was the handbag worth 50,000/-INR and a cellphone that costed more than a lakh which I never bought. What is more, I was in a business meeting abroad on the date when the purchase was made. I have attached my fright and immigration details with this letter.
This was a threatening experience as the amount is a bit hefty. For the same, I would like you to reimburse my credit which is deducted unnecessarily. Also, please keep an eye on the issue as such kind of mistake can lead to more problems in future. I suggest your company has a bug-check of the emails at regular intervals.
Hoping for a prompt favourable action from you in this matter.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
Noah K.
