The bar graph shows the global sales (in billions of dollars) of different types of digital games between 2000 and 2006
The bar graph compares the amount of money from 4 kinds of video games sold worldwide from 2000 to 2006.
It is clear that handheld games were the most popular type of games in this period and saw a steadily rose after six years. Besides, mobile games and online games had a dramatic increase in sales which come from approximately zero to big revenue.
In 2000, the biggest sales belong to Handle games which reach 11 billion dollars. The console game halved in less compared with Handle games, at about six billion in 2000. In contrast, Online game, and mobile games did still not appear in the game market and there was no revenue this year. After 3 years, Handheld games saw a considerable increase. Its income rose to 13 billion dollars in 2003. Mobile phones and online games also had an upward trend in 3 years but it just increased by about 3 billion dollars.
In 2006, Handheld games reach a peak of approximately 18 billion dollars. Console games continued the downward trend and decrease to 3 billion dollars. Conversely, Mobile games and online games saw an upward trend this period. Its revenue increased significantly to 7 and 8 billion dollar respectively.
