The given line graph compares how many books had been read between men and women at Burnaby Public Library from 2011 to 2014. The most significant facts to emerge from the graph are that both the number of books that read by men and women had risen significantly over the period.
From 2011 to 2012, the number of books that read by both men and women increased gradually. Starting at 3500 on 2011, the men’s number of read books has risen gradually by about 500 books, while the figure for women climbed more dramatically and reached over 7000 books on 2012.
There was a dramatic rise in the number of books read by men between the period of 2012 and 2013, while the number of books read by women continued to climb slowly. At the end of 2013, the number of books read by women reached nearly 10500 books, which was the highest peak of the long period between 2011 and 2014. However, the number of books read by women is no longer higher than men’s. Then, between the period of 2013 and 2014, the men’s number of read book continued to rise significantly and finally reached the peak of 15000 books, the highest of the long period, through unlike women’s it fell to a low of about 8000 books, way lower than the figure for men’s.
