The table provides information about the percentage of various types of families living in in poverty in Australia by 1999.It is noticeable that single parent family was the largest percentage among all the percentages of poor household categories in that period. However, the proportion of people of that type was just under the numbers of people living in poverty in the couple type who lived with children.

The most enormous quantity of poor household which was in the couple family with kids reached 933,000 families. The next category after this number was the single people with no children who consisted of 359,000 people. Furthermore, two types of households that attained the proportion of poor family around 200,000 were the couple with no kids and the sole parent who obtained 211,000 and 232,000 respectively.

Despite those all, the smallest number which was identified having 48,000 households in poverty was the couple known in aged. In addition, there were approximately 11% of all families in Australia which were detected living in poverty in 1999 which the exact quantity was 1,837,000 families.
