The line graph compares the percentage of Twitter users in 4 different age groups in the USA between November 2010 and May 2013.
Overall, every group saw a rise in the use of app over the period, while 18 to 29 year-olds used the app at the highest rate throughout the graph period.
The youngest group started the period at just below 15%, the highest percentage at that time, and witnessed a gradual rise to just below 20% over a month. However, the percentage remained more or less the same till August 2011, after which there was a rapid jump in the interest of Twitter to nearly a third in August 2012. Then, the popularity of the app dropped to three-tenths over the next nine months.
In terms of the other three groups, the average percentage of Twitter users decreased with the age. Hence, over 65 years, who stood at just below 5% in the beginning and finished the period at one-fifth, used the app at the lowest rate. 30 to 40-year-old people and 50-64 aged people saw a similar pattern, with just above 5% in November 2010 and at approximately 17% and 12.5% at the end of the period, respectively.
