The diagram indicates the number of one nation's exports in different sections between 2015 and 2016 whilst the ratio adjustment of particular categories in exports in two years compared with each other is illustrated.
In general, the export earnings of every product section witness a slight to moderate growth except gems and jewellery due to the decline in this industry from 2015 to 2016. Besides, these categories are divided into 2 groups: the higher (including petroleum products, engineered goods, or gems and jewellery) and the lower (containing the remainders).
In the higher group, the two main exports are petroleum products which went from over $61 billion in 2015 to about $63 billion by engineering goods ($57 billion to $61 billion). This leads to a 3% growth for petroleum products and nearly 3 times more for engineered goods with a percentage of 8.5%. Despite the two categories above, gems and jewellery is evaluated to be one of the highest export section, there is a negligible drop from $43 billion down to about $40 billion with a 5.18% decrease.
Although agricultural items and textiles are supposed to be the lowest categories, they also witnessed an insignificant climb and an overwhelming one respectively. This is recognized in the percentage change in values (2015-2016), both of the sections develop with different growths are 0.81% for agricultural goods and 15.24% for the rest.
