You visited a town last month and told your friend that you would like to meet. However, you could not make it. Write a letter to your friend.
In your letter, you should:
express your apology
why you could not meet
making arrangements to meet him
Dear Sahil,
I hope you are doing well in the post-Covid world. I know that I couldn't keep my promise to meet you while I was in Delhi. And, I am sorry for my actions and for updating you with short notice.
The problem is that I have some important urgent meetings to attend in different cities of India. I'll be traveling most of the time during my business trip. I know that we have set up a dinner plan for the coming Saturday, unfortunately, I'll be in the Hyderabad office at the same day and will be discussing our company's product with the employees working in Hyderabad location.
After this, I have to go to Hong Kong for another meeting on a Saturday night where I have to catch my flight from Hyderabad to Hong Kong. So, this is the reason for canceling the dinner plan with you and your family. I hope you would understand my situation, and I apologize for not making up to you in this busy and tough time for me.
However, I am coming back to Delhi next month on the first weekend. I'll be spending all the quality time with my family, friends, and including you. Therefore, I will book a reservation at your favorite diner in the town. And, the treat will be from my end. Please bring your wife and daughter as I have not seen your family for almost two years. Besides, I have called our friend Divya to join us for dinner along with the family. So, it will be a great chance for the three of us to reunite with ourselves and spent our nostalgic memories again.
Looking forward to see you soon.
Regards,
Shwatank
