The bar chart demonstrates the percentage of residents' coffee and tea purchasing and consuming habits in five cities in Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Hobart).
As can be seen from the chart, most people in these cities went to a cafe to have coffee or tea, except Adelaide. Additionally, fresh coffee was the least common choice for consumers living in the five cities surveyed.
Residents drinking coffee or tea in a cafe accounted for the largest percentage in Hobart, followed by Melbourne and Sydney, at 64% and 61% respectively. In terms of Sydney and Melbourne, the proportions for people consuming instant coffee were 46% and 48% respectively, while the figure for Hobart's consumers of this product was significantly higher, at around 54%. Although 38% of citizens in Hobart purchased fresh coffee, 44% of Sydney's residents and 43% of those in Melbourne consumed this type of coffee.
Moving on to the two remaining cities, the allocation of people buying fresh coffee was in the vicinity of 35%, which made this coffee the least common product for residents in Brisbane and Adelaide. While going to a cafe for coffee or drink accounted for the largest percentage of those living in Brisbane, at around 55%, 50% of residents in Adelaiden opted for this choice. The allocation of people residing in Brisbane consuming instant coffee was slightly lower than that of Adelaide, at 53% and 50%, respectively.
