gallery 3

Essay topics:

gallery 3

The two maps illustrate the redevelopments of an art gallery ground floor between 2005 and the present.

Overall, there have been significant changes taking place in the art gallery particularly on the left-hand side of the room, including the removal of exhibition room number 4, the addition of new facilities, and the rearrangement of functional rooms. These alterations must have made this gallery more visitor-friendly and accessible.
It can be seen from the two maps that the three exhibition rooms on the right-hand side of the gallery have remained unchanged in terms of size and position throughout the given period. Meanwhile, the installation of a ramp at the entrance and a new lift next to the back stairs lead to an upper floor making the gallery more accessible for those who use wheelchairs. Furthermore, the rectangle reception desk in the middle of the room has changed to a circle one and relocated near the entrance.

Looking at the left-hand side of the room, exhibition room 4 has been divided into two areas, the temporary exhibitions and the children’s interactive playground. Another major change was the removal of the gallery room to the top left corner of the room where was the coffee and art shop. In addition, the vending machine selling coffee and food now is seen in front of the gallery room.
