The presented line graph elucidates how much money was paid for books in four different countries – Germany, France, Italy, Austria for 10 years period from 1995 to 2005.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that there was an upward trend in the total amount of money used for purchasing books in all four nations. Another fascinating point is that Germany had its citizens spending the largest amount of money for this purpose over a decade.

Meanwhile, the figure stood at about 57 million, 50 million, 30 million dollars in France, Italy, Austria respectively. Since then, all expenses of money buying books in four nations growth, with the most significant increase being seen in Germany and Austria ( intersected Italy during 2003).
Around 2001, the amount of money dedicated to books in Austria began to rise, eventually overtaking that in Italy by 2003, but the comparable amount in Germany fell before rising again around the same time. By 2005, the figure for the money that paid for books had increased to over 95 million dollars, making Germany become the region had the largest figure. Nevertheless, the spending on books in France, Italy, and Austria only contributed around 72, 71, and 61 million dollars in turn.
