The line charts provide the number of international students and domestic students enrolled in Australian universities based on commerce and totals in the 2000s.
Overall, there was a significant rise in the enrolments of both two types of students in comparison with the beginning. Local applicants based on the total were the most common.
In 2001, there were about 10000 commercing registrations from other countries’ students, whereas the number of total applications from them was 20000. Compared to it, the number of the natives signed up local universities based on totals was much higher (400000 enrolments). The same was also true for commerce.
At the end of the decade, the total enrolments from worldwide experienced a noticeable increase, from 20000 in 2001 to over 80000 in 2010. The same pattern can be seen for commercial overseas students as it grew by 30000 people in 2008 before remaining stable since then. There were 800000 national individuals in the total registered Australian universities, compared to 200000 in 2001 and it had stayed the same since 2007. The number of commercial local registrations slightly went up by around 30000 students.
