Overall, it is obvious that most of the water supply is used for agriculture purposes. Meanwhile, second place belongs to industrial use.
Regarding North America and Europe, half of the water consumed is for industry, yet, the rest of which is for household and agricultural purposes. The latter takes more percentage of water used by 32% and 39% compared with only 15% and 13% in Europe and North America respectively.
On the other hand, 4 remained areas where much of the water is utilized for cultivation, the highest figure is in Central Asia that accounts for 88%. The proportion of water consumed in domestic is higher than that of the industry ranging from 2% and 9% in Africa, Central Asia, and South America. Except for southeast Asia, where the figure for industrial purposes is 5% higher than the utilization of water for domestic purposes.
