The given pie chart gives information about the local cinema goers in 5 main categories based on their age in the year 2000.
Overall, people aged 55 and over went to the movies more than younger people did.
According to the data of the chart, the percentage of elderly people comprised more than half of the total cinema visitors. This indicated the trend of cinema watching among older people; they paid a visit to the cinema more frequently as compared to other age groups.
People who were between 31 and 45 years old showed the least interest in the cinema, so their percentage went lowest, at only 5%. Among the other three age categories (from 10 to 30), younger people expressed more concern over watching movies than adults, which was why their rate was higher than the other two. After the age of 20, the interest of going to the cinema declined yet increased dramatically when people became over 50 as shown in the chart.
