The diagram below shows changes that took place in Youngsville in New Zealand over a 25-year period from 1980 to 2005.
Given are pictures comparing a town called Youngsville in New Zealand before and after experiencing changes over the 1980 - 2005 period.
As can be seen, the town underwent significant changes which mainly turned a rural landscape into an urban area.
One noticeable alteration was that the majority of trees were removed, making the town less green than before. Specifically, the woodland near the airport in the south of the town was replaced by the industrial area, with a warehouse being surrounded by factories. To the north of Alanah river, the trees were cut to make room for the park next to the hospital, and create a spacious area where residents could engage in more diverse activities.
Another dramatic development was as to the residential estate. On the north side of the river, the former residential area was demolished to make way for the stadium with two parking areas, while on the other side, the estate was removed for the erection of skyscrapers near the railway. The marina was also constructed near the railway station.
