The given pie charts illustrate the proportions of resources usage and expenditure of the world and the distribution of world’s population.
Overall, it is evident that the USA and Europe occupy the majority of resources consumption, while most of the population of the world is located in Asia. In addition, the expense for food is dominant.
Looking at the first pie chart, it is noticeable that the proportion of food is highest, at 24%, followed by that of transport and housing at 18% and 12% respectively. At the bottom of the list is the figure for clothing’s expenditure, being only 6%, which is nearly one seventh of that of others.
In terms of the figures for world population, Asia’s takes the largest part, at 57% while that of Europe and America are identical at 14%. Besides, Africa’s is 10%, being as twice as that of other regions which is only 5%.
Although most of the world population lives in Asia, the percentage of resources consumption of the USA and Europe is highest, taking 60%, while that of the rest of the world occupies only 40% in total.
