The given bar chart illustrates the amount of CO2 emitted from 6 patterns of transport in the European Union. Meanwhile, the pie chart gives information about the proportion of the governmental budget allocated on different types of transport
Overall, the CO2 emission stemmed from air is the highest amount. It can be clear that the majority of funding from the government is spent on roads.
According to the first graph, there is a significant difference between the carbon footprint among 6 forms of transport. Whereas air emits the biggest quantity of CO2, with nearly up to 400 KM, standing at the second position is the CO2 emission from passenger, with about 130 KM, these figures for the remaining are relatively small, with only around 50 KM
It can also be seen that the governmental expenditure on several kinds of transport is quite unfair. Roads accounted for the biggest proportion of funding, with over 50%. This figure nearly twice and 5 times as much as the European Union expensed for railways and public transport, respectively. In contrast, the rest of the governmental funding is distributed for 5 other sectors, with the total percentage in budget is 7%, even lower than the money allocated for public transport.
