at an event you attended recently, you met an employee of a company you would like to work at. You talk to her and she suggested that you should contact her if you needed any help with your job application.
write a letter to this employee. in your letter:
-remind her how you met and ask for some help
-tell her what kind of job you are interested in
-ask her about the company's job application process
Dear Ms. Rose
I am writing you regarding the brewers' conference which took place in San Francisco last fall. You and I were seated next to each other and, you were telling me about the exceptional graduate program your brewery has. And how you were a part of it when you were finishing your studies in Europe. I am about to close my final internship and, I would like to ask for your help if you're still willing to help me with a piece of advice about my upcoming application for the program.
First, let me explain which are the areas where I will be more interested in apply. I am a chemical engineer. Therefore, a process engineer is probably the safest choice. Nevertheless, I won't be mad if a position is available in the research and development department. I found it pretty challenging as well.
As someone who has experience in the application process of the graduate program, do you have any suggestions about which position I should apply for or if it is easier to be selected for any particular department knowing those in which I am interested?
Thank you so much for your help.
Best regards,
Carlos Becerra.
