The statistics of how people in United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Japan shares their total spending on five highlighted categories in 2009 is explained by the bar graph.
As an overall statement, it is worth noticing that Housing accounted for the highest percentage of outlay in all given country except Japan which spent the most on food.
Looking closely at the bar graph, it is apparently observed that Housing, Food and Transportation revealed the highest proportion in four regions. Housing headed the list of consumption in United States, Canada and United Kingdom at approximately 26%, 21% and 24% respectively while Food made up the top-notch in the splurge of Japanese at 23% and Housing stand at the second place with 22%. Although both Transportation and Food was the second and third highest proportion of expenses correspondingly, it shows an opposite trend in the outlay of citizens in United Kingdom when Food is rated at the second place and Transportation was third highest.
On the contrast, markedly different pattern is revealed in the expenses of Heath care and Clothing. Clothing had the most trivial percentage of expenditures in United States with 4%, at the same time, Health care accounted for the second lowest at nearly 8%. The amount of outlay that Japanese spending on Health care and Clothing was the same and it consisted of 4%
