The line graph compares percentage terms the changing patterns of domestic access to modern technology in homes in the UK in over a period of 8 years.
overall, it was clear that was 4 different types of domestic access. There were included CD player, mobile phone, home computer and internet access which was rose steadily from 1996 to 2003.
In a couple of years 1996 and 1997, the majority of domestic access was CD player, were of 80% while the percentage of home computer and mobile phone were lower than CD player, the former was approximately 29% and the latter was about 19%. In the same period, Internet access was not popular, and people began use internet access in the following years which was 10% in 1998 and 1999
From 1998 to 2002, all of domestic access was rose dramatically. While CD player rose approximately 21% and still highest with 81% in 2003, the percentage of mobile phone overtook home computer tripled with approximately 40% of increasing and was 70% in the same time. The percentage home computer and internet access rose gradually with 25% and 30%. The fromer was 55% and the latter was 40% in 2003
