Essay topics:

The bar charts illustrate the average house expenses in England and its capital city – London, and present the comparison regarding the average house prices between distinct areas of England within the year 2013.

The first bar graphs give information about the cost of an average house in England and London from 1995 to 2013 and the second bar chart illustrates how much a house cost between six different regions of England in 2013.

Overall, it is clear that the average house prices in both England and London increased over the period whereas, in the second chart, London ranks as having the highest area of spending prices on houses in comparison with habitats in other areas.

In 1995, the house expenditure reached 200,000£ in London, logged increases to 80,000£ while people in England spent money on houses which is worth about 120,000£. In 2013, the price continued to take off when the price in London significantly doubled to 400,000£, just as the number of house expenses in its capital city slightly increased to 200,000£.

Regarding the other regions’ house prices, houses in London were recorded to be at the top of the list, reaching a high cost of 400,000£. This was followed by the South East region where people spent over 300,000£ to own a house. The third most expensive houses were located in the South and North West regions with expenses ranging from around 200,000£ to 250,000£. By contrast, the most affordable housing was in the Midlands and North East, with average prices at only around 100,000 £.
