The bar charts illustrate the proportion of people who owned their personal computers in terms of general population and level of education from 2002 to 2010.
It can be seen clearly in the first graph that the number of computer ownership had gradually increased during period. Starting from the year of 2002 with just around 58%, citizens seemed then to purchase more computers by 2004, 2006 and 2008 with about 60%, 65% and 70%, respectively. Particularly, the rate reached over 70% in the last year shown.
Meanwhile, the ratios tend to be more optimistic in the second chart due to its stronger rise by years and education levels. For no high school diploma, it was just 15% in 2002 and luckily climbed up to 45% in 2010, which was a significant progress. The percentages continually accelerated for upper levels including high school graduate, college, bachelor's degree and postgraduate qualification in both 2002 and 2010. As the highest level of postgraduation, there were respectively 80% and roughly 95% of students owning computers, however, the difference between the two years had been mitigated in comparisons with other categories.
