The chart below shows estimated world literacy rates by region and by gender for the year 2000. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.
The information from the chart can be described in many ways. First of all, there is a great difference between the developed countries and the other world. Even Latin America’s and Caribbean’s illiteracy levels are at least 10 times higher than developed countries one’s. The worst in this rating is The South Africa, but this fact is not surprising. But what’s about Arab States? Isn’t in outstanding low literacy rates for those who had been the first in math and astronomy, theosophy and poetry for ages? So, I think that wide spreading of smart devices in the developed countries, easy access to digital information is the matter. And what about the gap between men and women? The men to women illetaracy ratio is less in developed countries for the same reasons: the equality in terms of access to education, social and carrier pathways for both, the lack of the religion or patriarchal laws and habits.
