The provided graphs demonstrate the Australian people going to the movies in all age groups and average number of cinema visits by four distinct age groups between 1996 and 2000.
Overall, it is obvious that the percentage of cinema attendants tent to increase remarkably while there was a gradual downward trend in the frequency. Besides, the average cinema visits according to age groups witnessed oscillation during the period.
In 1996, the rate of people going to cinema made up 62%, then grew by 10% in the next year and stayed constant at the same figure until 2000 despite a slight drop to 70% from 1998 to 1999. On the contrary, there were 10,3 average visitors to the movies at the beginning, followed by a marginal growth to 11,1 visits in 1997 and then declined dramatically to 8,3 and 8,2 in the next 3 years.
In 1996, people aged 14-24 visited cinema 15 times on average while 10 was the figure of the oldest age group. There were about 12 and 14 visits of the age group 25-35 and 35-49, respectively. In 1997, the number of all age groups underwent a noticeable upward trend by 8 times but then fell to the same figure as the beginning. Over the last 2 years, the numbers fluctuated and eventually rose to nearly 18, 17, 15 and 14 visits.
