The chart below shows the percentage of the population in the UK who consumed the recommended daily amount of fruit and vegetables in 2002, 2006 and 2010.

The bar chart illustrates the proportion of people in UK who followed the recommendation for the daily amount of fruit and vegetable in 2002, 2006 and 2010

In general, the percentages of fruit and vegetable consumers in British tended to increase during the period shown. It was true that children ate a smaller amount of fruit and vegetable than adults.

In 2002, there was 22% men compared to the total of the population in UK consumed fruit and vegetable while that number of women was 25%. The data of children was the lowest with only 11%.
These was the slight growth after 4 years in the number of people eating enough fruit and vegetable as recommendation. The percentage of men consumers rose 6% to 28% while these was up to 32% women decided eating the recommended daily amount of fruit and vegetable. Children was still be the lowest figure, however, it experienced the slowly growth to 16%.

After witnessing the increase, there was the decrease in propotions of fruit and vegetable consumers in 2010. From 28% in 2006, the data for consumers, who was men dropped to 24%. This number of women saw the similar change which went down 5%. It was manifest from the graph that the percentage of children also fell 2% and stopped at 14%.
