Some people say that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. Other people think that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it.
In our modern society, advertising is a common marketing strategy which appears everywhere, especially on social media. People agree that advertising does play a successful role to increase consumption, while others argue that there is no attention on such a trivial advertisement. From my standpoint, I suppose that advertisement is necessary for what people will buy.
On the one hand, advertisement has a great impact on customers' choices, several driving forces will account for this statement. First of all, all products have an eye-catching advertising video or panel to appeal to customers' attention. The popularity and the promotion of products appear on every social media platform, which increases the number of citizens knowing and willing to buy. In addition, advertising provides useful information about the ingredients, the manufacturing process as well as the criteria of the related associations. The celebrities are usually becoming the face of the brand name to develop reliability among consumers.
On the other hand, others who have the opposite thinking said that commonly advertising can not take their attention into it. The reason is that nowadays, too many advertisements are displayed on TV and other platforms, which leads to distraction and unable to concentrate on certain products. However, residents tend to shop at the supermarket, where has a careful systematic process to ensure the high- quality of commodities. Therefore, people can purchase things without worrying about harmful influences, and saving time whenever going shopping.
In conclusion, a quarrelsome between two beliefs, one is advertising is good at persuading customers to pay for their products, in contrast to the idea of no notice attracting by advertisement. From my perspective, I consider the huge impact of this promotion strategy on our consumption.
