The diagram illustrates the process in which honey is produced. As can be observed, it involves seven major stages, commencing with the construction of beehives and culminating in honey being collected.
The first step is when a honey container, which is a box-like structure, is built with a variety of individual cells made up of beeswax. This is followed by the collection of nectar, and in order to do this, some of the bee colonies need to travel a certain distance in search of suitable flowers. Having been collected, this sweet liquid is carried back to the hive where the production takes place.
After the hexagonal honeycombs are filled with nectar, they are cooled down by the airflow generated thanks to the constant movements of the insects’ wings. This course of action continues until the water content in the honey completely evaporates, forming a syrupy substance known as finished honey. Eventually, the pure honey is harvested using specialized equipment, ready to be distributed and consumed.
