The given linegraph depicts the amount of energy consumed in America since 1980 with projected used until 2030.
What stands out from the graph is that fossil fues have been dominant since 1980 and are predicted to increase in the last 10 years. By contrast, the figures for alternative energy witnessed a slight rise with expectation for a considerable stability until 2030. Petrol and oil have been mainly used by U.S people over the period shown.
The main energy in the USA is fossil fues. Among them, petrol and oil accounted for the highest mount at 35 quar in 1980, followed by natural gas at 20 quar and coal was below a half comparing with petrol and oil. From 1980 to 2020, Petrol and oil was always the main kind of enery in the USA with a prediction for an upward trend until 2030. After a slight fluctuation, coal overtook natural gas and become the second main energy used in this country in the future.
Turning to alternative sources of enery consumption in 1980 with the same starting point at about 3.5 quar, whille there were small surge in the consumption of nuclear and solar/ wind powers with slightly higher projection in 2030, the amount of energy created from hydropower witnessed a period of ocsiliation over the period shown.
