The most striking feature to be observed is that the percentage of of household in rented accommodation was highest in 1918 however, it was overtaken by rented in the final year.
It can be vividly seen that the proportion of household in owned accommodation was approximately more than 20 percent in 1918 but was same just over 30 percent for next 14 years. From 1961 to 2001, it increased moderately nearly 40 to just below 70. The percentage of household in rented accommodation was at peak nearby 77 in 1918 but it levelled out at near about 68 by 1939 to 1953.
Turning to the rest of description, from 1961 to 2001, the proportion of household in rented declined in significantly from just below 60 to more than 30. As far as comparisons are concerned, in 1918, the percentage of household in rented accommodation approximately 3. 5 times more than owned accommodation. Besides this, the percentage of household in owned accommodation upsurged whereas, it declined for rented accommodation throughout the given time period.
