Given is the diagram delineating the process of producing electricity in a hydroelectric power station.
It is perceptible that this is a linear process with multiple steps, which commences with transfering the water between two reservoirs which are high-level and low level, and ends with generating electricity for the national grid.
The process initiates when the water runs to the high-level reservoir from the river and is being obstacled by a dam. Following that, the process is divided into two periods of time in the day, day and night.
When it comes to daytime, the attribute of the intake position is to open to let the water run through reversible turbines so that the power is accumulated by the spin movement of the generator’s operation. Thenceforth, the flow of water stream to a lower position.
Moving on to the night, the water spills back with the aid of reversible turbines by pumping them into a high-level reservoir. Therefore, that movement serves to generate some more power during the night time.
