The bar charts demonstrate the price of tickets from Sydney to Melbourne and vice versa within a two-week period in 2013.
Overall, the prices on weekends were always higher than those on weekdays, except for Mondays. In addition, from Tuesdays to Thursdays, there was a relatively similar price for both types of flights.
Regarding flights from Sydney to Melbourne, the tickets were the most expensive at 80$ in the first week, 30$ higher than the same day in the second one. In the next three days of both weeks, clients had to pay no more than 40$ for each ticket. The prices then dramatically increased to 75$ before gradually dropping to 50$, which was still much more costly than on weekdays, excluding Mondays.
Turning to flights from Melbourne to Sydney, flight tickets cost 60$ on the first day of week one, in comparison with 40$ on Monday next week. The fares on the next days followed the same trend as in the other turn, with the prices being similar at around 38$ for each ticket. On Fridays, both prices reach a peak of 80$ and 60$, consecutively. In the last two days, ticket prices fell to 60$ on Saturday and 50$ on Sunday while week two had the same price of 50$.
