The table and charts gives information about a police budget of an area in Britain.
The table illustrates sources of police budget and pie charts demonstrate key areas of its expenditure, for the years of 2017 and 2018, in a specific area of Britain.
Overall, national government was the biggest contributor to budget in both years, wherein majority of the expenses were on salaries of staff members.
The table shows that there was a minimal increase of roughly 14 million in the police budget, in the course of one year. The largest share was of national government with 175.5 million and 177.8 million in the years of 2017 and 2018 respectively. Whereas, Local taxes accounted for almost one third of total budget, for both the years. Other sources contributed near about 13% in 2017 and just over 12% in 2018.
The pie charts depict distribution of this budget into various sectors. There was a slight decrease of 6% in salaries paid to staff (as it was 75% of the total outlay in 2017, in comparison to 69% of 2018). Meanwhile, expenditure on Technology represented a significant rise of same proportion (by which salaries fell), in the year of 2018 (as it stood at 14% of the total budget, which was 8% in the year 2017). However, Buildings ans Transport were unvaried for both years, remained at 17% of expenses handled.
