The government's investment in arts, music and theatre is a waste of money. Governments should invest these funds in public services instead.
To what extent do you agree with this statement?
The government's investment in arts, music, and theatre is equally important to invest these funds in public services. Arts, music, and theatre not only contribute greatly to education and the improvement of the national cultural level but also enhance people's happiness and the government's income.
After thousands of years of development, art, music, and theatre have played a significant role in regulating human physiological functions. By experiencing these artistic works, we can be spiritually inspired, and express emotions and sorrows along with the content that works express and deepen our standing of ourselves and our perception of nature and society. Up to now, we can still be moved by the touching love between Yang Guifei and Tang Xuanzong, who transcend time and space in "song of Everlasting sorrow". We can also appreciate different life experiences, ask ourselves to reflect on our own views on love, and comprehend the literary techniques and structure of it. In addition, such as "The Kock out" and the movie "Man Jianghong", which were popular at home and abroad during the Spring Festival this year, not only met the people's demand for entertainment but also created considerable economic income and foreign recognition of Chinese culture. Last but not the least, art, music, and theatre also carry the role of educating next generation. For example, the traditional "Twenty-Four Filial Piety Diagram" express correct values, allowing our excellent traditional culture to continue and develop.
From what is said above, we can safely conclude that art, music, and theatre play a vital role in education, national cultural level, happiness, and so on. Their positive effects are so deep and wide that it is a wise choice to take them seriously. So the government's investment in arts, music, and theatre is equally important to invest these funds in public services.
