American fast food consumption rate once or twice a month decreased by 5 percent in the first three years before going up to 33 percent in 2013.
In contrast, the proportion of American citizens who went to fast-food restaurants several times a week fluctuated between 16 percent and 20 percent over 10 year period, it was higher than the figure for those eating this food a few times a year.
