The diagram illustrates how shellfish is labeled for international business.
It is clearly seen that there are 5 stages of the process, starting with monitoring the shellfish boat via a GPS location device and ending with sending the certified shellfish to the international market.
In the first stage, the fishing boats are automatically observed by an artisanal GPS location device which transfers the received data to a satellite. After that, this information is sent to a monitoring center in Santiago and supervised by a worker of this structure. In the next stage, the labeling system generates a barcode label to certify the catch after getting the report about it.
In the shellfish process, the capture goes to a processing plant where the commodities are prepared for selling, they can be washed and checked to ensure the quality of products is suitable. In the end, these certified shellfish are packaged and transported to local and international customers by trucks and planes.
