The diagram shows
the production of
bottled and canned
carbonated water
The diagram describes how bottled and canned carbonated drinks are produced. Overall, the
process involves five main stages, commencing with the filtration purification of raw water,
followed by stages of chemical treatment and carbon dioxide absorption, and culminating in
the filling and packaging of final products for delivery. The process commences when raw water is filtered and then transferred to another step
where it is treated with water softener and chemicals. Next, the purified water is pumped into
electric heaters where high temperature causes it evaporate into steam. As soon as the
steam passes through a cooling pipe, it is condensed into the liquid form, which is
mixed with CO2 to create carbonated water in subsequent step. Once the carbonated water
flows into a mixing tank, it is mixed with colouring, syrup and flavor to generate a mixture.
The next step involves filtering the mixture at a second time before it is filled into either
bottles or cans. At the end of the process, the final products are packaged and delivered by
truck to supermarkets or retail stores for display.
