The diagram below shows the typical stages of consumer goods manufacturing, including the process by which information is feedback to earlier stages to enable adjustment.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the process shown.
The mechanism through which information is sent back to previous stages to allow modification is shown in the diagram, along with the standard stages of consumer products manufacture.
The first step in the process is that raw materials and manufactured components undergo initial preparation before being contained in later storage in order to be used for assembly. This will not occur if ingredients do not achieve adequate criteria at earlier production planning, in which they send feedback to storage. At the next stage, despatch will be taken place, should packaging be performed successfully after inspection and testing are passed in order. The consumer goods manufacturing process ends with sales in which production planning will be requested for changing policy, should there be troublesome problems or poor revenue.
A products design being a consequence of product research is both precursor for production planning and received respondence from testing phases in which mistakes are discovered. Besides that, market research, taking responsibility for product sales, does not only send customers' demands to the design field in order to satisfy the consumers, but it will also make comments for advertising, should promotional strategy be not effective.
